Editing

We began editing the footage we got from last weeks filming day. It is a very time consuming task as a lot of the editing involved us matching the lip-syncing with the music but most of which has now been completed with the exception of a few parts at the end of the song.

Last weeks filming day was very successful as we experimented with a variety camera angles and camera movements however, the group had a discussion and we felt that our performances in terms of lip-syncing are not as animated and upbeat as we had hoped. We are aware that our priority is the cinematography and editing but to ensure we can create the best final product we still feel that our performance is a vital factor and for this reason we may go out for one final filming day.

As we are nearing the end of editing, we have begun looking into different ways in which we can improve our video and to add finishing touches. This included us discussing and applying a variety of effects and techniques that we can use to improve the overall quality of our music video.

Here are a few images of our editing process and the variety of techniques that we have applied when editing.

                                                                            Layering

                                                           Flipping our footage

Experimenting with our framing in the shot

                                              Adding the hard light effect
